OUR STORY

STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM,

NOW WE'RE HERE.

Founded in the Fall of 2012 by two Loyola students, LUC Raag was a way of introducing new music, culture and diversity on campus. The first year was spent building a base in the south-asian fusion acapella world through opening acts at performances of well know teams across the nation such as UIUC Chai Town and UIC Dillinois. The second year brought along challenges such as managing our own performances and improving upon the expectations of the audience. We were fortunate to perform for organizations such as the Council of Pan Asian Americans, Loyola South Asian Students’ Alliance and the Office of Student Diversity and Multicultural Events. We were also extremely grateful to be able to perform for the Vice Presidents of Student Activities from all Jesuit colleges across the country. This year, we plan to be bigger and better through more performances on campus, many more musical arrangements as well as philanthropy events to give back to the community. We have also officially become a national competing team, with our acceptance into the nation’s largest South Asian Fusion Acapella competition, Gathe Raho.
